  	Mae Alice Clark Lasbury, 77, of Orchard Street, Stonington died in the evening of Saturday 20th January 2001 after a long illness. The daughter of Asa B. Clark and Jennifer Gaylor, she was born on Northwest Street on 17th March 1923 in the Borough where she spent her entire life. Mrs Lasbury graduated in 1940 from then-new Stonington High School and she married Ensign Frank R. Lasbury on 2nd November 1944 at the Baptist Parsonage in Stonington. Mr Lasbury died in November 1986. Mrs Lasbury worked as the secretary at the former Atwood Machine Company in Stonington for many years and later for her husbands business, Stonington Industrial Metal Products. In later years she was the owner and innkeeper of Lasbury's GFuest House in Orchard Street, which she shared with her home and with her daughter Jayne Lasbury and her granddaughter Sarah McLaughlin. In addition to her daughter and granddaughter, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Drake and Barbara Lasbury, a granddaughter Wendy Lasbury and two great grandsons Kyle and Adam Smith, all of Pawcatuck, CT. She was pre-deceased by a brother, Walter F. Clark, in 1945.
