- Marjorie Joan Micke, 82, of Jefferson City, passed away Monday, April 7, 2008, at Golden Living Center in Jefferson City.
She was born December 31, 1925, in Coleford, England, a daughter of the late Fred and Ann Moore. On December 22, 1945, she was married in England, to Lawrence T. Micke, who preceded her in death in June of 1977.
Marjorie worked as a Supervisor for the Missouri Department of Revenue for more than 25 years until her retirement. She was also involved in the hospice program in Jefferson City. She was a member of Central United Church of Christ.
She is survived by a son, Keith Micke (wife Janice) of Owensville, Missouri; one brother, Donald Moore of England; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Gary Micke; a daughter, Cheri Micke; a brother, Phillip Moore; and a sister, Betty Moore.
Friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2008, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, with Rev. Dr. Stephen H. Buchholz officiating.
Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer Association.
