Stanley Bertram Richard Edgell was born 1897 in Coleford, Somerset, the son of Albert Edgell & Elizabeth Young. He was working as a coalminer in 1911 but later joined the 1st Battalion of the Grenadier Guards.
He fought in France but was killed in action 27th March 1918, age 21.
He is buried at Bucquoy Road Cemetery, Ficheux, Pas de Calais and is commemorated at the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website
