My thanks to Flickr member Addie-B for kind permission to reproduce some photos of James Lasbury and his family. The photos are believed to have been taken in Connecticut around 1867 but somehow found their way to a swap meet in San Diego.

  1. Hello Robin,

    I’ve enjoyed seeing the new photos you’ve posted. Did you get the photo of the calling card and of James Lasbury from the same person who had the other photos?

    We’ve been watching the celebrations going on during the Diamond Jubilee; what a great show! Do the English really get excited over events like this, or is it just that we Americans secretly wish we had more pomp and circumstance?
