- Formerly of Stoneage Farm, Binegar, the funeral took place at the Binegar Parish Church with the Reverend M. K. Warren officiating.
She was 86 and was buried in the grave of a life-long friend, Mrs. Marquand, who died one month previously, and with whom she had lived for many years.
The chief mourners were Messrs. Ernest Chard, London, and Henry Chard, Enfield, sons, Messrs. Arthur Chard, Shepton Mallet, Victor Chard, Slab House, Ivan, Wilfred and Oliver Chard, Midsomer Norton, grandsons, Mr. Hubert Padfield, Cardiff, son-in-law, Mr. Arthur Floyd, Cardiff, nephew Messrs. Shorey Old Down Inn and Padfield Goldsborough Farm, and others.
There were numerous beautiful floral tributes.
Note: She is buried with her life-long friend, Eleanore Marquand, rather than her husband.
